Witness Appeal After Road Rage Attack in Saxmundham

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a driver was assaulted following an incident of road rage in Saxmundham.

The attack occurred at around 4:40pm on Wednesday 2nd March, on Church Street near Tesco Superstore.

Two drivers were involved in an altercation at the traffic lights, which resulted in one driver being punched in the face several times and headbutted as he attempted to get out of his car. He sustained facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

The suspect has then driven off in a silver estate-style vehicle in the direction of Kelsale – and is described as a white man, approximately 6ft 2ins in height with short brown hair and tattoos on his hands and neck. He was wearing a grey hoody with a high vis jacket and blue jeans.

Witnesses or motorists driving in the area with dash cam footage of the incident are urged to contact Suffolk Police.
