Trawler Runs Aground on Sandbank off Corton
Lowestoft’s Lifeboat has been called out to assist a trawler that ran aground off Corton.
A call was received on the morning of the 15th September, when the 23 foot boat became grounded on the edge of a sandbank.
Despite several attempts and in calm weather conditions, it took until the water level rose during the evening, when a tug was able to finally free the trawler.
