A memorial plaque to remember a crew of nine fishermen who lost their lives at sea 85 years off Lowestoft has been unveiled.
The ‘LT227 ‘Reclaim’ was a herring fishing boat which sank after it struck a huge steamer ship in thick fog off the Suffolk coast on 19th November 1937.
MP Peter Aldous and Lowestoft Mayor Alan Green were among those at the ceremony which took place on the South Pier.
The newly unveiled memorail laque on Lowestoft’s South Pier above and picutured below with Lowestoft Town Major – Alan Green.
MP Peter Aldous was also at the ceremony.
