Southwold Pier Evacuated

Southwold Pier was evacuated for a time this afternoon.

Pier management told East Suffolk One a fire alarm developed a fault and the issue is being resolved.

Built in 1900, the pier is a popular destination for tourists. The alarm caused disruption to those enjoying the sunny September weather in Southwold.
