Robbery appeal – SaxmundhamPolice are appealing for witnesses to a robbery that  recently took place in Saxmundham.
 
It happened on Friday 8 May at about 8.10pm on Station Approach in the town when two males entered a rear yard at the back of a property and one of them removed a mountain bike from behind a shed.
When challenged by a male aged in his 50s, one of the suspects pulled out a red screwdriver threatening the man. The two young males then left the scene with the bike but then left the bicycle nearby at the railway station before fleeing the scene on foot. No-one was hurt.
 
The first suspect is described as a white male, short and stocky build, aged in his mid-20s, and was wearing a hooded top, with long trousers, black trainers and backpack. He was riding a dark coloured BMX style bike.
 
The second suspect is described as a white male, about 5 foot 10 inches tall to six foot, two inches tall, was of slim build, had a tooth missing, and wore a tattoo on the right side of his face of a flower design. He had black, shaved, receding hair and was wearing a Nike tracksuit bottoms and dark grey hooded top.
