Southwold, Thorpeness, Pakefield, Corton and Gunton are all going to be the focus of a £9.1 million pilot project to try and help in the ongoing battle against coastal erosion.
East Suffolk Council along with Great Yarmouth Borough Council are teaming up for the scheme.
They are looking at using so called ‘community rock piles’ that can be moved to project vulnerable areas – and even having movable homes in certain locations.
