Racially Aggravated Incident Reported in Southwold

Police are appealing for witnesses or information following a racially aggravated offence in Southwold.

The incident took place on Wednesday 2nd September on St Edmund’s Green next to Field Stile Road.

A woman in her 60’s was approached by three boys on bicycles, when the woman believed her accent and ethnicity was being mocked. The boys then followed her out of the park on Cumberland Road, shouting at her and being abusive.

The boys are described as white, aged between 12 and 16 and all were around 5 feet 5 inches tall. 
Witnesses or anybody with any information are asked to contact police by phoning 101.
