This week sees the banning of social gatherings of more than six people come into force here in Suffolk and across England, as part of the Government’s updated pandemic restrictions.

The “rule of six” applies both indoors and outdoors – and includes children.

Martin Hewitt, Chair of the National Police Chiefs’ Council has said that preventing the spread of Coronavirus is a shared effort and the police are playing their part.

Adding that Officers in our communities are following the approach to engage, explain and encourage people to follow the rules – and fines will be issued when people refuse to comply.
