Plant Problem for the Waveney

Plans have are in place to remove an unwelcome visitor from the River Waveney this weekend

Floating Pennywort – which is native in the Americas – is seen as an alien species of concern in the UK – and the plant was banned from sale for garden ponds in 2014.

The green clover looking like plant has been spotted by river wardens on the Waveney – who are working to remove the unwanted flora.
