Two men have been jailed for a total of eight years following drug offences in Lowestoft.
21 year old Kain Reeve of Eades Walk in Lowestoft was jailed at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday 10th December after he pleaded guilty to drug offences. These were being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession of cannabis. He was jailed for five years and seven months.
Meanwhile, 19 year old Laimonas Zebrauskas of no fixed abode was convicted of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, after pleading guilty and given a 32 month jail sentence.
On 1st June this year officers from the Scorpion East team executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at his home address and, during the search of the premises, an amount of cocaine, about the size of a golf ball, was recovered and police also recovered a small amount of cannabis. Other paraphernalia associated with suspected drug supply were also recovered including some scales, four mobile phones and SIM cards. He was arrested and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning and subsequently charged. Interrogation of the phones established there were messages related to drug dealing and use.
An associate of the pair was also convicted at Ipswich Crown Court on the same day. 20 year old Lennon Roberts of Paget Road in Great Yarmouth was given a nine month jail sentence, suspended for 24 months, after he pleaded guilty also to possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
