Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to after an NHS employee was verbally abused in Beccles. The incident occurred between 11.30am and 11.40am on Saturday 19 th June at Tesco in the town centre. The victim – a woman aged in her 30s – was at a checkout paying for some items when a man used offensive language towards her. She was wearing an NHS uniform and her employment appeared to be the motivation for the abuse. Officers have released this CCTV image of a man they would like to trace in connection with this incident. He is described as white, approximately 5ft 10in tall and had some front teeth missing. Anyone who believes they know this man, or who has any information about this incident, is asked to contact the Crime Coordination Centre quoting reference: 32721/21. Meanwhile, police are also appealing for witnesses, this time following an assault in Lowestoft last month.
The incident occurred at around 4pm on Friday 25th June in Gordon Road, on the opposite side of the road to the bus station entrance.
The victim – aged in her 40s – was sitting on a wall when an unknown man approached and punched her in the side of the face. He then jogged off towards Clapham Road South.
This resulted in the victim sustaining bruising to the side of their mouth, a small cut above the lip and a tooth cap to fall out.
The suspect is described as white, of slim build and approximately 6ft tall. He is believed to have been wearing a black padded jacket with the hood up and white football/sport shorts.
