This is to help ease the pressure on the East of England Ambulance Service during the Covid-19 crisis. Suffolk Fire & Rescue service say firemen and women will work on a shift basis and it's proud to be supporting their colleagues in these uncertain times.
Meanwhile, as the restrictions continue - a group who travelled from Kent and Essex to Suffolk to ride their quadbikes are among the many people being fined during the third national coronavirus lockdown. 10 fixed penalty notices were given out by Suffolk Police at Waldringfield quarry last weekend. Officers are reminding everyone to play their part and stick to the restrictions to help try and save lives and protect the NHS . Assistant Chief Constable Rob Jones has said "No exceptions to the rules can be made for weekends."
