Winds of 50 to 60mph are possible and for a short time winds could peak at 60 to 70mph this evening from between around 6 and 8pm.

A Met Office Amber Warning has been issued which means: There is a good chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage Probably some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs Longer journey times and cancellations likely, as road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected Flying debris is likely and could lead to Injuries or danger to life Some roads and bridges likely to close Injuries and danger to life is likely from large waves and beach material being thrown onto coastal roads, sea fronts and properties The winds are set to follow a day of more rain, with flooding reported in a number of places, including Worlingham, Saxmundham, Framlingham.

In Yoxford the A12 has again been impacted by the wet weather.

Once winds ease tonight, showers tomorrow - and after a risk of more rain on Thursday - it should turn drier but colder over the weekend, perhaps with some wintry showers.
