Emergency services have completed a recovery operation at the scene of a serious road traffic collision in Reydon, following which a man has sadly died.
Police were called at 2.55pm yesterday afternoon, Saturday 14th December, to reports of an incident on the A1095 Halesworth Road.
A vehicle left the A1095 and was discovered upside down by a sluice gate with the driver deceased inside.
Police, Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service, East of England Ambulance and HM Coastguard have all been in attendance at the incident. The road was closed between the A12 and Mardle Road with diversions in place.
However, emergency services have since completed the recovery at 6.15am this morning, Sunday 15th December, and the road has now reopened.
Officers are appealing for any potential witnesses and asking any motorists driving in the area between midnight and 11am on Saturday morning with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
