High's of more than 30 Celsius are possible Friday and the weekend - with mid to high 20s Ceslius at the seaside.

Meanwhile, after the extreme heat of July in east Suffolk, it’s now the lack of rainfall that has broken records going back to 1836.

Provisional figures from the Met Office show that Suffolk has just had its driest July.

An average of 2.5mm fell across the county last month… beating the previous record set in1955 ….and forecasters say that the mainly dry weather is set to last well into August.

The average rainfall total for Suffolk in July is 54mm.

The dry July follows a dry winter and spring - with the Suffolk countryside looking brown and dusty and summer 2022 continues.

Here's an image of Lowestoft's Normanston Park. The extreme heat heat in July saw temperatures soar into the 30s Ceslius here in east Suffolk.
