Marine characters are hidden around Lowestoft town centre with participants using a map to jot down the names of each of the characters to win prizes.
The initiative is a free activity for both visitors and local residents throughout the summer, starting Saturday 20 July and running though Monday 2 September.
The Summer trail is organised by Lowestoft Visio which is the Business Improvement District for the town; it's supported by local businesses and sponsored Richardson’s Family Entertainment Centre and ABP Ports.
Greg Munford, Chief Executive of Richardson’s Leisure Limited said "We are thrilled to announce Richardson's Family Entertainment Centre as the headline sponsor of the Discover Lowestoft Summer Trail. At Richardson's, we deeply value the importance of local community partnerships and are committed to promoting the wonderful locations in which we operate and create employment. This collaboration highlights our dedication to supporting the community and enhancing the vibrancy of Lowestoft. We extend our thanks to Lowestoft Vision for their work in making Lowestoft a fantastic place to visit, shop, work, and live. We eagerly anticipate this summer trail and look forward to welcoming more families to the town over the school summer holidays."
Danny Steel, Chair of Lowestoft Vision commented: “It’s wonderful to see such a fantastic event for families to enjoy throughout the school holidays. The strong support and involvement from numerous businesses truly highlights our community's enthusiasm and commitment to making this event a memorable experience for everyone.”
Angela Grey, Lowestoft Vision Business Improvement District Manager added: “This is the final year that Discover Lowestoft will feature the beloved stars and fish as part of the summer trail, so we've made it the biggest yet! Look out for our auction at the end of the summer. You can bid and buy your favourite character to take home with you.”
