Ashley Gray, 40, was arrested in October 2022 by officers from Suffolk Police’s East Scorpion team after they executed a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at his home in London Road South.
During the search, a mobile device was seized attributed to Gray showing him advertising the sale of cocaine and cannabis from 1 August 2020 to 6 October 2022.
Gray pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing and was convicted at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday 11th July for being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis and was sentenced to a total of three years’ imprisonment.
The Scorpion teams lead Suffolk police's proactive response. The teams are based in Bury St Edmunds, Lowestoft and Ipswich and support front-line policing on a daily basis, deploying in a variety of specialist roles and operations to catch criminals and keep the county's communities safe.
