First Light Festival 2024

The first light festival kicked off in style on Saturday with music, dance and more. After some showers on the frst day - blue skies greeted the second day.

The UK's biggest free beach festival has been a success for Lowestoft. Thousands flocked to the beach, seafront and gardens to enjoy music, dance, food, and more.

A local choir sang out 'Here comes the sun' to kick off the day one on the beach -  and everyone did their best to ignore the 'sharp showers' that appeared in the afternoon. Thankfully the clouds parted and the sun shone on the stages on the beach and Kensington Gardens, aloowing the acts to entertain.

On The Garden stage, children sang through the afternoon and Cuban music really got people dancing as the sun began its descent.

East Anglian trio 'The Trips' sang a mix of country and more to a cheering crowd. They debuted a song called 'First Light' that was just perfect for the festival.

East Suffolk One was out and about throughlut the weekend talking to performers and local organisations. Tune in to hear highlights from across the weekend.
