Emergency services were called just before 7.30pm on Thursday 25 May, to reports of a two-vehicle collision near the A145 junction involving a motorbike and a stationary van.
The motorcyclist – a man aged in his 20s - sadly died at the scene.
The road was closed to allow officers to conduct initial investigations into the cause of the collision and reopened at approximately 2:50am on Friday morning, 26th May.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, along with anyone driving in the area just prior to the incident who has a dashcam in their vehicle.
