Work is continuing this month as part of a modernisation programme, on the Wherry Railway Line which runs from east Suffolk to Norwich

The work includes the removal of the traditional semaphore signals and manually operated signal boxes, which will be replaced as new electronic signals are installed.

As part of the project, overnight maintenance will lead to restrictions at the level crossing on Bridge Road in Oulton Broad, with diversion signs in place and a bus replacement service in operation until 23rd February while the work goes on.

Meanwhile, overnight work at the East Suffolk Line level crossing on Victoria Road in Oulton Broad will also continue. There will be a bus replacement service that will operate between Lowestoft and Beccles until 16th February.
