A 33-year-old disqualified driver from Lowestoft has been jailed, after he stole a car following a burglary in the town last month.
Thomas Morgan, of Montgomery Avenue, has appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court, where he was sentenced to 20 weeks’ imprisonment – and disqualified from driving for 62 weeks in total.
He pleaded guilty to three offences – burglary: theft of a motor vehicle and driving whilst disqualified.
These all took place on Sunday 19th April, when Morgan broke into a business premises in Whapload Road by smashing a window, and stole the keys to a silver Smart car.
The car was discovered abandoned later that day near Swaffham, having sustained damage from an apparent collision.
