Police have charged a man after he failed to stop following a road traffic collision in Lowestoft – and burglaries at two service stations.

An incident took place on Thursday 7th May, when a vehicle was travelling on Beccles Road in Lowestoft – and requested to stop by officers in a patrol vehicle.

The driver reversed back – ramming the police vehicle at speed before leaving the scene in his car. No-one was hurt and the suspected vehicle involved was located in Beccles about an hour later. Officers arrested a man the following day.

32 year old Kieron Watkins of no fixed abode, was charged with numerous offences, including the burglary of a service station at Darsham – stealing £745 worth of goods and the burglary of another service station in Framlingham, where nearly £6,000 worth of items was stolen at the beginning of May.
