Lowestoft Robbery: Women Charged

Lowestoft CID has charged a woman in connection with a robbery in the Suffolk town.
Last Friday evening (22nd May) police received reports that an offender had entered the Happy Shopper on London Road South – and made threats to the shopkeeper with a knife before stealing alcohol.
Victoria Nash, aged 28 and of Belvedere Road in Lowestoft, has been charged with robbery, possession of a bladed article in a public place and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
Nash has appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court and is due to appear before Ipswich Crown Court on Friday 26th June.

Funding Boost for Local Community Projects

Community projects across East Suffolk have received a funding boost to support their activities which benefit local residents.Following successful applications to East Suffolk Council’s Enabling Communities ‘Exemplar Grant Programme’ - 19 community projects were chosen to each receive a share of £160,000 to help deliver projects and activities which will benefit East Suffolk residents.
