It’s been a busy time for Lowestfoft’s Lifeboat crew as it helps with two more incidents.
Strong winds buffeted a Dutch yacht which had to be rescued after its engines failed – three miles off the Suffolk coast on Sunday (16th July).
There were some very challenging weather conditions – with a 25 knot wind and 2 metre se swell.
After being towed past Holm Sands via the Stanford Channel, the boat was eventually towed into the yacht marina.
The Lifeboat crew also helped a team from the Coastguard with another incident, this time off the South Beach on Monday evening (17th July).
