Following on from last year’s highly successful and 45th Grand Henham Steam Rally last September – a very impressive total £60,000 has been raised – and presented to local charities.

Helen Walker presented cheques to the three beneficiaries, those being: Wangford & District Community Council, Southwold Lions Club and the Church Councils of Sotherton, Wangford cum Henham and Uggeshall.

Meanwhile, other recipients were the Rally’s three chosen charities for 2019:  Lowestoft Samaritans, the National Trust Dunwich Heath and Beccles and District Guides.

This month’s presentation event, was also an opportunity for the organising committee   to say thank you to the many volunteers who make Henham Steam Rally possible.

Dates for the 2020 and 46th Henham Steam Rally have been confirmed as the 19th and 20th September – so make a note in the diary.
