GMP Statement - public appeal to help find missing 11 year old Fatuma Kadir

Eleven year old Fatuma Kadir, from Bolton, was reported missing just before 10.45pm last night (22 July 2021)

Greater Manchester Police have released the following statement in a public appeal to find 11 year olf Fatuma Kadir:

Eleven year old Fatuma Kadir, from Bolton, was reported missing just before 10.45pm last night (22 July 2021). We know she was at home at 7:30pm that evening. She left home without the knowledge of her parents, and travelled to Bolton Train station, where she arrived at about 20 past 8.

She then came into contact an unknown man and woman, that we believe were worried about Fatuma. They travelled on the same train as her to Manchester Piccadilly and then on again from Manchester Piccadilly to Birmingham New Street.

We know at this time, Fatuma got off at Birmingham New street, and boarded the 11:10pm train to London Euston, arriving alone at 1:13am today. (23 July 2021).

We would like to trace the unknown male and female as they may know where she was going afterwards.

Fatuma left London Euston train station at 1.17am today (23 July 2021) and is described as an Asian female, about 5ft 2, and of slim build. She was last seen wearing a black Hijab with a blue headscarf and black dress.

Fatuma headed onto Eversholt Street towards Euston Road. From there, we believe she was at London Bridge Tube Station at 11:16am this morning, and it may be likely that she is in the London area, possibly around Tower Bridge.

We are understandably extremely concerned about the welfare of this young girl, as it would seem her going missing is extremely out of character.

We’ve been working with colleagues from British Transport Police (BTP) and Metropolitan Police, as we know she had a great interest in London. We are also releasing more pictures, and want to ask for the public’s help to find her.

Have you seen Fatuma? Do you know where she is now? Or Do you have any information which will help us find her?

Her parents, Asheem, and Misra, are extremely worried, and have asked me to share the following statement with you:

“We miss you, we want you to come home. We want to at least know you’re safe. You’re not in any trouble. Please contact us or the police.

“If anyone knows where she is or have seen her, please get in touch with the police.

“We are in a state of shock. We want to know where she is, who she’s with, but most of all, that she’s safe.

Fatuma, Please come home.”

Anyone with information can 0161 856 5757 quoting log number 3275 of 22/07/2021 or report it online at

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

Steel industry leaders in plea to be added to self isolation exemption list

The Government has been criticised for not including steel in the list of sectors where firms can apply to have workers tested rather than self-isolating if they are “pinged” by the NHS app. The list covers sectors including transport, emergency services, border control, energy, digital infrastructure, waste, the water industry, essential defence outputs and local government. Unite national officer for steel Harish Patel said: “It is deeply disturbing that the […]
