Filming Continues for Life of Lowestoft

Filming continues for a documentary that is set to celebrate Lowestoft’s past, present and future.

The production will be called ‘Life of Lowestoft’ – and is being directed by teenager Joshua Fremantle . 


Recent filming has been taking place at the Associated British Ports, where Operations Manager Tom
Duit,  talked about the development of t he UK’s most easterly Port.


Meanwhile, CEFAS will also feature in the film – where there were interviews not just at the Laboratories at the Pakefield headquarters – but also onboard Endeavour – CEFAS’ ocean-going fisheries research vessel based at the port of Lowestoft.

Attempted robbery in Lowestoft

Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery in Lowestoft. It took place on the junction of St Margaret’s Road and Sussex Road in Lowestoft at around 10:50pm on Friday 7 February. A man wearing a dark hooded top entered the Meikle Newsagents store making demands for money  - and was confronted by the shopkeeper, who was subsequently assaulted and sustained an eye and hand injury. The offender ran along Sussex Road and into an alleyway.
