Halesworth Developmemnt Plans Survey

Redevelopment plans for the centre of Halesworth have proved so controversial, local people are now being asked to have their say on them. The Town Council turned down an application from Castlemeadow Care to build 50 retirement homes on the site of the old Middle school. A new artificial football pitch was also rejected. Lifeboat Rescue Off Suffolk Coast

A yacht with three people on board had to be rescued, after it ran aground on a sandbank last week. Lowesoft’s Lifeboat crew were called out just before 10 o’clock on Thursday night - when the 35 foot yacht got stuck on Newcombe Sands, half a mile off the Suffolk coast. Once freed into deeper water, the boat and its crew were eventually towed back safely into Lowestoft harbour.
