Lowestoft’s iconic Claremont Pier has found a buyer. The business and structure has been on the market since 2018.

Jonathan Carman of Fennels Chartered Surveyors in Halesworth told East Suffolk One, that although there is a buyer for the pier – they are unable to close the deal at the moment.

As a result, offers are still being accepted for higher bids.

Following the closure of the pier earlier this year – residents and local groups were hoping that a buyer could be found, with this helping to boost the area’s economy.

Lowestoft’s Claremont pier dates back to 1903 – and before its closure included the Aquarium music venue…bar… restaurant…roller skating rink and the amusement arcade.
