One of our busiest roads is set to be closed for overnight roadworks later this month.

Suffolk County Council plans to shut Saltwater Road between Bridge Road and the Commodore Road roundabout in Oulton Broad.

The road is scheduled to be closed from 8 in the evening through until 6 the following morning between the 27th and 31st July.

The closure will allow essential maintenance work to be carried out on the Mutford Lock Bridge.

Diversion signs will be in place – and mean that people will have to use Lowestoft’s harbour bridge as an alternative route.
