Beccles Town Council has confirmed that socially distancing planters, which prevented traffic entering New Market in the town centre….  have been illegally moved.

Suffolk Police have been made aware of the incident which took place late on Thursday.

The Town Council said that New Market is still officially closed to traffic and therefore anyone parking in this area risks a parking fine.

The removal of the planters comes as Beccles appeared on a ‘watch list’ – as Covid-19 cases are increasing in Suffolk.
