For fantastic views across Suffolk and the Waveney Valley – then a visit to Beccles Bell Tower is a must.

Until the 29th October,  volunteers open the tower every Saturday from 10.30am to 4pm., with to the top is at 3.45pm. Groups can also book visits to the tower.

Visitors can count the number of steps (over 100!) to the top and enjoy the spectacular views across the Waveney Valley and towards Lowestoft and the Suffolk coast. Those visiting will be given an informative guided tour on the way up, including a chance to see the historic bells.

This year saw the return of the popular Treasure Hunt around Beccles – which was organised by the bell tower volunteers. It was a great evening with this picture showing the winners and runner’s up, alongside Town Mayor Barry Darch and members of the bell tower volunteer team.  Picture: Charlotte James Photography.

…and shown below here were the winners of the Beccles Treasure Hunt 2022 – The Hales family, originally from Beccles and visiting from London.

Please remember – opening times subject to weather conditions and the availability of volunteers.

Please be aware that the tower is closed for a time on days when there is a wedding at the Church, this to  give the bellringers access to the Tower.
