10 Years on from the Storm Surge in Suffolk

Today marks 10 years since the Suffolk coast was battered by a storm surge down the North Sea. In Lowestoft, the sea flooded areas in and around Station Square, the quay in Beccles flooded and A12 at Blythburgh was closed by flood water. Two Attacks in Beccles

Police are appealing for witnesses after two assaults outside a pub in Beccles. Both incidents occurred on Monday 16th September outside the King’s Head in the town’s New Market when a man was assaulted by four suspects at around 7.50pm. He suffered minor injuries. Lowestoft Flats to be Flattened

Lowestoft’s only high-rise flats are to be demolished. Residents of St Peter’s Court will be rehoused, after East Suffolk District Council took the decision - citing a hike in maintenance costs. Hit and Run Witness Appeal from Suffolk Police

There’s been a hit and run incident in Lowestoft. A cyclist was injured after being hit by a car which drove on to a footpath in Westwood Avenue. The car driver did not stop after hitting the bike and the rider was knocked to the ground, suffering injuries to his hands and legs. Anyone with information about the incident on Tuesday 26th  September, should contact Suffolk Police.
