‘Damaged’ Footbridge Forces Road Closure in Lowestoft

A busy road in Lowestoft has been closed - as repairs to a damaged Victorian footbridge get underway. The Ravine which is one-way, runs from Yarmouth Road to Cart Score and will be shut to traffic from now until Friday the 10th December. ‘Ancient Art’ Exhibition Heads to Lowestoft

Suffolk Towns Winter Pandemic Plans Supported

Suffolk Growth Partnership is pleased to announce that £41,000 has been granted for towns including Beccles, Halesowrth and Southwold to support their winter plans to help prevent the spread of Covid -19.  The grants have been made available through the Covid Outbreak Management Fund (COMF) allocated by Suffolk Public Health.  The funding is supporting local facilities adaptions, equipment, communications and also supporting preventative management activities for key events this winter, in particular Christmas fayres and Christmas light 'switch-on' celebrations.  Karen Chapman, Suffolk Growth […]

Teenage Boy Dies Following Collision

A teenager has died following a road traffic collision in Oulton Broad. Officers were called by the ambulance service shortly before 10.15am on Wednesday 17th  November to reports of a collision between a white van and a cyclist on Higher Drive, near the Woods Loke West junction.
