Appeal to Racially Aggravated Assault in Lowestoft

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident of racially aggravated assault that took place in Lowestoft earlier this month. 
It happened on Monday 4th May at around 3.30 pm on Rotterdam Road near the alleyway adjacent to Amy Court, when a man in his early 40s, was approached by a group of individuals, described as being aged in their late teens. 
The victim said he was punched in an ear and had a brick thrown at him, although the brick did not hit him, after racially abusive comments were made – and he also said that there were two main offenders.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time or has knowledge of committing the offence should contact Lowestoft police by phoning 101 or by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
