Police are appealing for witnesses after receiving a report of a hate motivated assault in Beccles…  It took place around 4pm on Sunday 31st May at the skatepark in Common Lane.
A man was subjected to foul and abusive language by a group of up to eight teenage boys. One of the group then followed him out of the park and threw sweets at him, before spraying him in the face with an aerosol.
The victim was not injured, but believes he was targeted due to gender identification and as such police are treating this as a hate crime.
Any witnesses, or anyone with information about this crime, is asked to contact Lowestoft Safer Neighbourhood Team by phoning 101 or by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
