Suffolk MP’s Universal Credit Plea

Plans to cut the Universal Credit Payments from next month should be scrapped according to local MP Peter Aldous.

The Waveney MP has written to the Prime Minister, along with Carlisle MP John Stevenson, saying hard working families in Lowestoft and Waveney will be badly impacted.

It was increased during the pandemic – but the Government says it was alway temporary and they are focusing on their multi million pound plan for jobs.
