2021: A Crucial Year for Sizewell C… and Suffolk’s Coast

2021 will be a crucial year for the area with proposals for another nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast.

EDF Energy wants to build Sizewell C next to the existing site of both the decommissioned and currently operational reactors.Local opposition to the development is fierce, with local wildlife and landscapes being impacted – authorities are being asked to look again at the plans.

Suffolk County Council have said that EDF’s latest plans are a step in the right direction and they are continuing to work with them on their application.
